Adopting and Challenging Traditional Gender Roles in 90s Sitcom Friends

Sitcom has been worldwide famous since the 1950s. Friends is one of most well-known sitcoms, telling story friends who lived in New York City during their youth. I will analyze gender roles issues Friends. In this study, how six main characters adopt traditional and eventually challenge them. use several theories, such as traits roles, theory orientation, egalitarianism. My analysis demonstrates that each adopted at least trait beginning series. The they be categorized by personal attitude, social behavior, value, self-concept, career choice. By end series, had challenged more to Egalitarianism theory.
